Johannes Pistrol

Johannes Pristol is a technician by passion; as a scientist working for the TU Wien and besides as a mechanic tuning his bike in any free moment. The latter he prefers on high mountains, from where he finds the most challenging descends back into the valley. As there are hardly technical trails in his home in Eastern Austria, he looks for the most challenging and most creative lines to ride wherever possible.
He does not race against a clock, but with it. He attempts to spend as much time on the bike as possible, no matter whether riding his 301, his 601 or his 901, whether he rides his Syntace Trial Bike or a Fixie in the city.

Johannes' Bikes

Particularly for steep and technically challenging descends, Johannes prefers a relatively firm setup of the fork. Wide rims and tires for improved traction simplify keeping control when it comes to tricky situation. As to the gearing, he is all into 1-speed drivetrains.
